The Story Continues....
We've spent years visiting pubs, brew pubs and other establishments. Some Awesome and some Awful! But we got to know a good thing when we saw it. While searching for an industrial business to satisfy my entrepreneurial spirit, I stumbled upon a troubled Brew Pub for sale less than an hour away from home.
Can you believe it! Less than an hour away. Well after my initial inquiries were rebuked by a disinterested broker, the place went under contract. Too my amazement it went back on the market a few short months later...
Yes it was fraught with problems, both legal and financial, but the concept was good and the local customer base seemed committed. Why not buy it??
Of course my wife had some reservations, and we had many discussions, but it seemed like the right thing to do. Of course the country was experiencing the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression. What was I thinking, buy a brew pub??? Real Beer??? Well, Yeah!
